About Us

Welcome to our website!  We are Larry and Valerie Shodin. We are both in the sixth decade of a wonderful life. We love to build, be creative and fish (well one of us loves to fish more than the other). We have been vacation rental hosts for over 4 years and have loved it! We have met people from all walks of life from all over the world, and have made so many wonderful friends. We moved to the Big Island 7 years ago from Oregon. We absolutely love the Big Island. It has everything we need and yet has a country feel. We started remodeling our home here with vacation rentals in mind and are still fine tuning and adding small touches.

Our grandson Kain, 26, moved over here 2 years ago and bought a condo this past year. He went on to remodel it and is now a host as well as a hospitality employee at a large resort. He too LOVES to fish!
